John is a lawyer in our Corporate and Commercial team. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts from Griffith University and was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2021.
John comes to Hillhouse Legal Partners from a role as in-house counsel for a national franchising business. His experience as an in-house practitioner gives John a practical edge and knowledge across a broad range of legal areas.
John has a particular interest in the franchising, retail, and technology sectors.

John is experienced in drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including service agreements, Licencing shareholders agreements, commercial leases, and employment agreements. John can also provide assistance regarding Employment Law, the Privacy Act, the Australian Consumer Law, and Intellectual Property.
